Cory Doctorow's Little Brother world premiere play in Chicago

Via Dot Lin, Publicity Manager of Tor/Forge Books:

It’s not every day you see an SF or YA novel storming the stage: Cory Doctorow’s Little Brother just had its world premiere at the Athenaeum theatre in Chicago!

Attached are production stills from top theatrical photographer Michael Brosilow (with some more here.) and see here for full theatrical press release.

This production closes the 20th anniversary season of the Griffin Theatre Company, who also adapted Neil Gaiman’s Stardust a few years ago. As of Opening Night last Sunday, their Little Bro play has already been nominated for a Jeff Award (Chicago’s version of the Tony!).

Some advance reviews here: SCI FI Wire and Time Out Chicago. And yes, the main character M1k3y (aka “Marcus”) is played by a newcomer actor named Mike Harvey.

Co-Artistic Director Bill Massolia is passionate about the play’s subject matter and says it’s still timely, considering the young people in Iran staging a similar tech rebellion during the elections right now. The revolution may not be televised (on CNN), but at least the people can Twitter about it …
