Despite the fact he was still in active duty he has been a strong support to me and I have been honored to work with him. The other Tom, Thomas Drinkard, the author of the two V-Trooper series novels is also ex-Millitary. In the follow up post there will be a few more writing Vets mentioned, as well as some other great, genre-indie writers. Debbaann said...: Very cool gift-away, from an extraorindarily talented author...I've entered, and if I win, I request that the Kindle instead be donated to a kid who loves to read, and otherwise wouldn't have the chance to own one. (Perhaps author V. Diffenbaugh would have someone in mind?) When I was a kid, things were not great, and books (especially fantasy) took me away for hours...I'll always be grateful to those authors, and the many since, who've helped me feel not so alone in the world.
