Andy Remic, author of such kickass military science fiction novels as Spiral, Quake, Warhead, War Machine, and the upcoming Combat K novel “Biohell”, published by Solaris Books, has decided to delve into the world of podcasting in collaboration with indie rockers, th3 m1ss1ng.
Initially, Andy will be releasing Spiral (2003) and War Machine (2007) as FREE podcasts. Spiral started airing on October 15, 2008 and a new chapter will be released weekly depending on the author’s writing commitments. Once Spiral is completed, War Machine will follow soon after. The podcasts will be linked via the author’s website on Podio Books and will be read by Andy Remic himself accompanied by the music of th3 m1ss1ng.

In other news, Tinars in association with the SPACE TV Channel and Hardcore Nerdity presents Neal Stephenson at the Ryerson Theatre. In this exclusive Toronto appearance, legendary science fiction writer Neal Stephenson will discusses his new novel, “Anathem” and other philosophical chestnuts with Mark Askwith, producer of SPACE. Stephenson will also address five video submissions by readers from across Canada who have answered the question, “What one piece of knowledge would you preserve for 1000 years?” Want your video to be one of the lucky five to be featured at this event? Record your answer to the question, and email your video link HERE. All videos will be featured on Hardcore Nerdity and five lucky winners will not only be featured at the event but will also receive a Neal Stephenson library! Details on the event are included below:
