From Colleen Lindsay via Robert Thompson we found out some sad news about author Aaron Allston (and unfortunately such news are becoming all too familiar in these challenging times so any help available from more fortunate people is very appreciated).
From Ms. Lindsay' email:
"A good pal of mine, writer Aaron Allston, is bouncing back after having had a massive heart attack while on book tour; he had to have an emergency quadruple bypass and now he's face with staggering medical bills. The Fandom Society of Texas has started a non-profit to collect donations and help Aaron out but we need to get the word out. I've written a blog post with all the details and links here: http://theswivet.blogspot.com/2009/07/help-writer-aaron-allston-out-with-his.html"
FBC wishes Mr. Aalston a fast recovery and hopes that help with his financial situation will be forthcoming.
