Order The Lost War over HERE
If you haven't heard about SPFBO before, it's an annual literary contest intended to bring greater visibility to self-published English-language fantasy authors. Fantasy Book Critic participates in the initiative since its conception in 2015. Each year, the contest allows us to discover self-published fantasy gems and new favorite authors.
After a close fight, Justin Lee Anderson has won the contest and became the sixth SPFBO champion. His dark fantasy novel The Lost War impressed judges with excellent writing and a killer ending. We can't wait to read the sequel once it's published! Here it is in the company of other SPFBO winners:
As we mentioned, the competition was hard this year and all finalists (and semi-finalists!) are worth your attention. Here's a fun picture created by Rachel Emma Shaw (the author of Last Memoria) presenting The Lost War's path to the first place:
As a blog, we spent a great time reading and reviewing the books and can't wait for SPFBO 7 to start soon! And we hope we'll discover new fantastic reads this year :)
