For those wondering what’s happened to my little weekly news updates, well, I’m still getting caught up on things so I’ve been mainly focusing on book reviews, interviews and giveaways at the moment. Also, its football season, so my free time has gotten even less :) Hopefully though, you’ll start seeing more random updates in the future.

Speaking of football, what an interesting weekend! My Kansas City Chiefs looked pretty bad, especially on the offensive side of the ball, and I’m preparing for a long season. Still, there’s a lot to be excited for. The Indianapolis Colts were pretty impressive and I’m rooting for them or the San Diego Chargers to win the Super Bowl. Actually, just as long as it’s not the New England Patriots, who I despise, I’ll be happy :)

Like a lot of people I’m sure, I’m also rooting for the underdog so I’m actually hoping that teams like the Detroit Lions and Arizona Cardinals will make a splash this year and maybe even make it to the playoffs. I’ve actually always been a secret admirer of the Lions, mainly because they are the team of my favorite football player of all time – Barry Sanders – and I think rookie Calvin Johnson is going to be a stud. Other rookies that really impressed me this weekend were Adrian Peterson and Marshawn Lynch. Aside from injuries, AD was a beast in college and he has all the makings of another great one.

In college, it’s Missouri and Colorado for me. Not the greatest choices I know, but what can I say ;) At least Missouri games will be fun to watch. What an offense! As far as the Heisman, I love the running back position so it’ll be fun to follow guys like Darren McFadden, Steve Slaton, James Davis/CJ Spiller, etc., but the one to watch I think is Ray Rice who’s becoming a legitimate candidate. Anyways, thanks for tuning in to Fantasy Book Critic’s Football Breakdown. Join us here next week for more of the same! ;)

Go Dolphins & Titans! Like you Robert I root for the underdog too, everyone at the top of their game needs to be knocked from their perch if only to teach them humility :)
At least with the way the Chiefs are lookin you'll get lots of reading done!
The Patriots are the worst of the worst. And now Bellicheck caught cheating, that's a 1 year ban from the NFL for the entire team right? One can hope.
