Here on Fantasy Book Critic, we are big fans of David Oliver and his fast-paced, action fantasy saga The Great Hearts. This series crosses multiple genres and is on the darker side of the fantasy spectrum.

I love it for the solid character work, action-adventure aspect of the dual timelines as well as the cool mysteries that the author is slowly unveiling. Plus for fans of the spy-soldier academy trope, they will find that David does some wonderfully thrilling things here.
