Thanks to Solaris Books, readers are being given the spiffing opportunity to win a Time Machine (see above), full of brass fittings and fancy dials! This was the very model featured on the splendid cover of Extraordinary Engines, an anthology of top-hole tales edited by Nick Gevers. The time machine (click to view) is approximately two feet in height, and is a sizable chunk of machinery, designed by the admirable Alex CF, a veritable master of scientific art. Moreover, FIVE RUNNERS UP will each receive a COPY of the aforementioned Steampunk anthology!
All one must do for a chance at winning this fine piece is download the free short story of Kage Baker’s “Speed, Speed, the Cable” and answer a few questions HERE.
In case you missed it, Neil Gaiman recently embarked on a 10-City Video Tour in support of his new novel, “The Graveyard Book”. At each stop, Neil read one chapter from the book with the video posted that night. By the end of the tour, which concludes October 8th, readers will have the opportunity to watch “The Graveyard Book” read in its entirety by the master storyteller himself!
At the October 6th stop in Los Angeles, Mr. Gaiman was interviewed by Liz Ohanesian, which was posted on L.A. Weekly HERE. The interview talks about the video tour, Sandman, etc. so be sure to check it out!
Also be sure to visit the all new Mouse Circus, Neil Gaiman’s new website for young readers for information on books, the tour, and tons of spectacular multimedia resources…
